Precast wall
Over 70% of all floors in Germany today are made of precast concrete. Any floor
plan can be realised, any structural design requirements met. Blockouts for
stairwells, chimneys or other internal features are taken into account during
fabrication. The size of the individual floor slabs can be tailored to suit the lifting capacity of the onsite or mobile crane. With precast concrete floors, there is no need for time and labour intensive operations such as
• commissioning and erecting formwork
• commissioning, cutting and placing
reinforcement
• stripping and transporting
formwork
• plastering
ceilings
Precast floors
Any angular plan is realisable. Windows as well as
boxes and conduits for electric cabling can be
incorporated into the precast wall. Alternatively,
blockouts can be provided for windows, doors and
service installations. The exterior surfaces of the
wall are smooth; rendering is not necessary. All
known facade linings can be applied. There is no
need for time- and labour-intensive formwork.
Because the wall has a smooth-formed finish,
internal rendering is unnecessary. Erecting the
precast wall is a simple operation. Where precast
units are installed for the first
time, work is additionally
supervised by experienced
E+E personnel. A service
package with the necessary
erection hardware
is available
on order.
Staircases
System formwork enables staircases
to be tailored to meet individual
requirements. Prefabricated
staircases are supplied with a
smooth-formed finish. They are
quick and easy to install. For
connections between flights and
landings, a variety of design
options are available. Where a
prefabricated staircase is installed,
there is no need for expensive,
time-consuming formwork.
Footstep sound insulation
requirements
are reliably
met.
Balconies
In contrast to conventional balcony
construction, there is no need for
formwork nor expensive shoring. Another advantage of construction
elements is that balcony, floor and
wall can be concreted in a single
step. The top surface of balconies
can be given a smooth-formed
finish, thus making coverings
unnecessary.
Balustrades and screens
These are easy to install with
minimal shoring and no onsite
formwork. Balconies and screens
are concreted together with the
precast wall in a single operation.
Designs can be tailored to
individual specifications.
Jamb walls
Jamb walls are installed together with the floor and
concreted in a single operation. Threaded sleeves are
set into the jamb walls for connection with rafters.
With purlin roofs, there is no need for masonry work
or shuttering or for concreting jamb wall supports.
With rafter roofs, formwork is unnecessary.
Columns and beams
The onsite formwork, shoring,
reinforcement and casting
operations involved in column
and beam construction are the
best arguments for prefabrication.
Considerable work
savings are also achieved with
semi-finished precast lintels
for spanning masonry
openings.
Solid concrete walls
Indoors, solid concrete walls
are the perfect complement
for precast walls.
Like precast walls,
they can be supplied
with blockouts or fittings
such as junction
boxes and conduits.
Combining precast walls,
precast floors and solid
concrete walls makes it possible to erect a whole
storey of a single-family house in one day.
